Part-Time Coordinator of Financial Aid Systems

The Part-Time Coordinator of Financial Aid works under the direction of the Director and Assistant Director of Financial Aid Planning and is responsible for processing loans and disbursing aid as needed with state and federal reporting.  This includes creating reports for fund reconciliation and creating/updating process manuals with new procedures; originating and disbursing federal and private student loans through COD, PowerFAIDS, ELM, and I-745 systems; originating and disbursing Pell through COD and PowerFAIDS; and disbursing all federal, institutional, state and private loan funds through PowerFAIDS.

Individual must be able to provide appropriate and accurate information to staff and students/parents regarding loan resources; eligibility; and application process, as well as, communicate processing issues as needed.  Essential knowledge and skills include understanding of Financial Aid regulations and the ability to work on multiple systems such as PowerFAIDS, ELM, I-745, Department of Education software and Microsoft Office Suite.  Must have knowledge of, and experience with, federal student loan program.  Experience with automated, online Financial Aid systems including COD and NSLDS required.
