The 2015 Annual Conference Committee has been hard at work planning this year's event which will be held April 12-15 at the Embassy Suites Greenville Golf and Conference Center.  We are excited to be joined this year by our favorite "FED", Dave Bartnicki.  The committee has put together a strong agenda with sessions including a two-part Year-Round State Scholarship presentation by our friends at CHE.

We are excited to be able to offer a two-part NASFAA-U Verification track at the conference.  This session will be limited to 30 attendees.  Those who attend the session will be able to take the NASFAA-U Credential test after the conference.

In addition, we have visitors from SASFAA and NASFAA who will be presenting:
  • Eileen O'Leary is the 2014-15 NASFAA National Chair.  She will join us on Sunday night to provide the NASFAA Update as well as present a session on the NASFAA Code of Conduct.
  • Karen McCarthy is a Policy Analyst with NASFAA and will be with us on Tuesday to present a general session on the main principles of successful advocacy strategies.
  • Amy Berrier is SASFAA President-Elect for 2014-15 and will join us for the entire conference.  She will present a joint session with Ken Cole on SAP Best Practices as well as provide the SASFAA Update.
  • Dick Smelser is the Tennessee State President-Elect and is presenting a session on Financial Literarcy as well as How to Get Involved with SASFAA.

  4. It’s time for College Goal South Carolina 2014! We realize that not all students and their parents can attend CGSC on a Saturday. So, in order to reach more students we’re going to try something new. We’re going to expand and have College Goal SC Month. This year, there are 35 locations throughout South Carolina during the whole month of February that will be offering FREE assistance to students who plan to fill out the 2014-2015 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

    What is College Goal SC?
College Goal SC is a statewide program that provides free information and assistance to students and families applying for college financial aid. CGSC mobilizes financial aid professionals, primarily from state colleges and universities, to help college-bound students and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

We can't do this without your help. So please go to http://www.collegegoalsc.org/ to volunteer.
