Financial Aid Counselor

Piedmont Technical College

State Salary Range:  $26,139.00 - $48,361.00 annually

Normal Work Schedule:  Willingness to work within a flexible schedule (i.e. day, evening).

Job Responsibilities

To provide information and assistance to all students and parents on financial aid opportunities and eligibility requirements.  This position is also responsible for the packaging and monitoring of assigned students in a timely manner.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:

A bachelor's degree required. General computer skills are essential. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills, be a self starter, and easily adapt to change.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in student services/financial aid programs preferred. Prior knowledge of Title IV programs and a working knowledge of the higher education environment is preferred.

Additional Comments:

Evening work hours are required. Some travel to County Campuses required, and possibly overnight to trainings, seminars and/or conferences. Some lifting is required.
