Dear SASFAA
Colleagues,
There is still
time to register for the 2015 SASFAA Conference to be held February 22-25 in
Memphis, TN. This is a great opportunity to learn and network with your
financial aid colleagues – we are very fortunate to have Carney McCullough,
David Bartnicki and Wood Mason in attendance. Carney will be joining us
for the entire conference and is scheduled to present sessions on Pell Grant
Calculations for both Credit and Clock hour programs, Unusual Enrollment
History and will bring our Federal Update on Wednesday. David will
present sessions on R2T4, Consumer Information and Verification. Carney
and David will team up for the always popular Ask a Fed Session. Wood
Mason will teach all we ever wanted to know about the loan programs! Tom
Utz from the Office of Inspector General will help us to understand the ins and
outs of Fraud, Waste and Abuse in the Title IV programs. In additional to
all of the federal sessions, Justin Draeger and Eileen O’Leary from NASFAA will
join us for Washington and NASFAA updates. And, many of your colleagues
will present sessions that will benefit you both professionally and
personally. Take a moment now to register for
this wonderful training opportunity.
While the Peabody
is full – the Double
Tree by Hilton is continuing to take reservations and is just steps away
from the conference hotel.
This year our
Business Partners will be taking the time to meet with and present valuable
information with attendees during the breakfast hour. You will be able to
grab some breakfast and go to one of these early morning sessions. The
scheduled days and times for the Business Partner sessions is included in the Web Agenda.
We are going to
play Bingo Monday night – you bring a small prize, we will provide the Bingo
cards, the snacks, and guaranteed fun and entertainment with your financial aid
friends. Tuesday we will “shake, rattle and roll” at the Jerry Lee Lewis
Honky Tonk & Café. The Café will be opening Tuesday night just for
SASFAA – come join your financial aid colleagues for dinner if you choose or
stop by later for some great piano entertainment.
As you can see the
conference committee has worked hard to provide a jam packed agenda and
opportunities to spend valuable networking time with your colleagues across the
SASFAA region.
Don’t miss
out…it’s almost time to go walking in Memphis!
