Financial Aid Counselor Position - Central Carolina Technical College

Position: Financial Aid Counselor (139217)

Description: Under limited supervision of the Director of Financial Aid and Veterans' Affairs, performs all duties associated with the processing of student financial aid maintaining professionalism at all times. Coordinates all Veterans' Affairs educational programs to include certifications, evaluation of programs, and maintenance of all records associated with Veterans' Affairs. Maintains all student and budget records for VA Compliance Survey purposes to ensure accurate tracking. Oversees and maintains resources for Veterans Resource Center. Assists in the processing and compliance with Federal Title IV financial aid resources. Occasional evening and weekend hours are required. Requires excellent customer service, communication, decision making skills, and public speaking ability.  Must use an objective viewpoint and be a cooperative team member.

Qualifications: Master's degree; or Bachelor's degree and two (2) years’ experience in student services programs.

Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) or more years of experience in either/both a college’s student aid or student financial services office, and/or knowledge of the Banner student information system.

Salary: $32,000 - $34,000.
