Job Description:  The Applications Analyst II serves as the technical lead for the administration of Banner systems for Palmetto College Student Enrollment Services.  Student Enrollment Services include Financial Aid, Admissions, and Registration. The position provides critical information systems support to the daily operations of the unit through consultation, data analysis, data maintenance, testing, report writing, information systems process development, and automated processing solutions. Provides office staff with technical support and problem-solving services and assists with the guarantee of security of all student information.


Provides hands-on coding, testing, and support of complex computer systems, assists with configuration changes, system upgrades and maintenance of data - including the coordination of annual configuration updates and changes related to federal regulation requirements and financial aid processing. Leads all reporting, automation, testing and system development efforts.

Assists with developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting web applications including but not limited to annual updating of Net Price Calculator and US DOE Shopping Sheet. Works with web-master regarding department web updates and changes.


Serves as a data steward and report author for the department. Creates and runs queries, reports, analyze data, and audits business processes to ensure efficient use of system.  Performs daily technology related functions including electronic data reporting, data transmittals to and from various external organizations and electronic sources. Manages routine batch process and system integrations.
Consults, collects and analyzes routine to moderately complex problems users have with the system and proposes solutions.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and 1 year programming experience, or equivalency.  

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Ellucian BANNER Information System or other similar Oracle-based systems preferred. Prefer financial aid experience and familiarity with financial aid related software systems and Banner Student Module. Prefer experience with student integrated systems, FA system, and various personal computer software.
