Statement of Candidacy for President-Elect of SCASFAA

Donna Quick

STATEMENT OF CANDIDACY: As someone who came into Financial Aid from the Admissions side of things, I benefited greatly from the training offered through the association in my initial year. I was in GA at the time, and I learned more from GASFAA events than I thought possible. Benefiting from those initial trainings and workshops inspired me to be a part of those same events on the other side of things as I grew in the profession. In the years since I joined GASFAA and then SCASFAA I have served in some capacity without fail every year. I absolutely love being involved in events that impact our profession. As legislative changes, budget cuts at the federal, state, and institutional levels create massive changes in our profession I thrive on making sure that we all understand how to move forward. I love to learn and I love to teach. I’ve enjoyed serving on your Executive Board in the last two years and offer to continue to serve in whatever capacity our membership finds most helpful.
