POSITION: Information Resource Consultant I
DEPARTMENT: Student Financial Services
HOURS: Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Friday-8:00 am-1:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Beltline Campus
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Manages the Document Imaging Solutions and mailroom activities for the Student Financial Services Department. Responsible for implementing staff training and maintaining the Document Imaging System for the Financial Aid office as well as maintaining the Imaging Training Manual for all Student Financial Services staff. Establishes and implements, in conjunction with the Assistant Director, policies and procedures for the Student Financial Services Document Imaging System. Ensures adequate quality control measures are implemented and monitors adherence to policies and procedures by staff. Troubleshoots Imaging System for system errors to ensure it is operational at all times as it is a critical component of the daily workflow process. Assists with the update and transmission of Direct Loan (Stafford and Plus) and alternative loans. Update and transmit files using ELM and other third party software, create and generate daily ELM reports for review and appropriate action. Serves as SFS webmaster and is responsible for testing patches for Administrative Software.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field and one (1) year related work experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing, or processing of information in an information technology environment; or associate’s degree in the aforementioned areas and three (3) years related work experience in the aforementioned fields; or high school diploma and five (5) years related work experience in the aforementioned areas. Ability to communicate effectively, interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
HIRING RANGE: $31,182-$44,438, Band 05, SC State Classification System. Excellent benefits program that includes: employer provided health, dental, and life insurance; paid holidays; sick and annual leave; and state retirement.
