POSITION: Student Services Program Coordinator II

DEPARTMENT: Student Financial Services

HOURS: Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Friday-8:00 am-1:30 p.m.

LOCATION: Beltline Campus

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of the MTC Foundation Scholarship Program and Quick Jobs Scholarship Program applications. Maintains general knowledge of current Federal, State and Institutional policies and procedures. Coordinates scholarship criteria with the Development Office. Communicates with and notifies scholarship recipients. Advises students and parents regarding financial assistance programs and the eligibility criteria of each program. Disseminates accurate and timely information to include application procedures, eligibility requirements and Satisfactory Academic Progress. Review and evaluates financial aid applicant files to determine eligibility based on federal, state and institutional law, regulations and/or guidelines using Datatel system. Reviews and evaluates documentation on student files selected for verification process-resolving discrepancies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree with (2) years of experience in Student Service.

HIRING RANGE: $31,182-$44,438, Band 05, SC State Classification System. Excellent benefits program that includes: employer provided health, dental, and life insurance; paid holidays; sick and annual leave; and state retirement.
