Financial Aid Counselors ensure compliant management and processing of student financial aid in a timely and accurate manner; deliver exceptional customer service; and maintain professionalism, confidentiality and flexibility at all times. Job duties occasionally require work performed in the evening and on weekends. Some travel is required. 

The successful candidate will manage all aspects of Satisfactory Academic Progress and Consumer Disclosures required for federal student aid programs, and provide assistance in managing the internal Verification system, SC LIFE Scholarship processes, and the electronic student financial aid records system.

Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 1 year higher education student financial aid experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Banner student information management system; Strong working knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations.

The Tri-County Technical College service area includes Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties. Developmental courses are offered for those who need to brush up on basic academic skills. The Continuing Education Division also offers personal and professional development non-credit classes in technical, business, healthcare, and personal interest areas to more than 10,000 community members each year. The main campus is located in historic Pendleton, South Carolina; branch campuses are located in the nearby cities of Anderson, Easley, and Seneca.
