GENERAL
RESPONSIBILITIES
In
this challenging role, you will support the Financial Aid Department at
Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the
following:
- Serve in the capacity of a
Financial Aid Officer reviewing and evaluating information as it relates
to the completion of a student's file by aiding in the collection of the
information required to correctly award student aid.
- Meet with students and
assist with the completion of their financial aid files and provide
financial aid guidance.
- Administer assigned program
or financial aid process.
- Become an expert in the
assigned financial aid program and/or process and administer specified
program and/or process to include required reporting and annual
reconciliation, in accordance with established guidelines.
- Prepare and conduct
financial aid presentations and workshops.
- Perform other duties as
assigned.

MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's
degree
PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in student
services, customer service, business, finance, or human resources.
- Experience in finance,
student services, or customer service with strong computer skills.
- Ability to effectively
navigate the Internet and be able to comprehend complex regulations.
- Possess excellent written
and verbal communications and customer service skills; enjoy working
with the public.
- Able to adapt to rapid
change and work well under pressure, in stressful situations, and with
tight schedules.
- Ability to work as part of a
team and use discretion in handling situations.
- Demonstrated experience in
the areas of financial aid, MS office and Datatel Colleague.
